Japan - A truly twisted place

Not much of Tokyo is old at all, after numerous fires, wars, and other destructive forces have made a mess of it. As such, things like this temple are a rarity.

Obviously the temple was spared courtesy of these guys.

This is more typical of what you should expect to see...

Looking up through the middle of a skyscraper in Shinjuku.

Rooms for rent by the 5 minutes...

This would most certainly be authorised graffiti. The Japanese are very law abiding like that.

Shop selling all sorts of berzerk stuff, including magic mushrooms, which somehow fell through the cracks of legislation, due to their inability to classify them as naughty.

John and Yoko, clearly not the singers of the same names. John's an American who loves living in Tokyo, selling funerals, and Yoko works for him. He gave us a superb insight into this crazy culture, and whet our appetites to return sometime.

OK, and here we are, after a few drinks with our newfound friends.
