Northern Corsica by scooter

Centuri - Lovely spot, but ruined by some lousy weather.

Many of the roads are like this. A sheer drop on the sea side. We went around Corsica anti-clockwise, so spent much of our time teetering on the edge.

Here are the scooters, all loaded up.

This is Nonza, which is perched up on top of a cliff.

The Désert des Agriates - only in the most abstract sense can this be considered a desert. It's quite arid, but also fairly green.

Ile Rousse, or the Red Isle. Nice enough spot, but it mostly feels like a port town.

This is Calvi. A really great town that plays host to the rich folks with it's harbour.

The U Minellu restaurant where we had a great dinner. Corsican specialities like wild boar, and brocciù cheesecake with grappa.

Just north of Calvi. Not a bad spot for mooring.

Drying clothes on the scooter.

Roads in Corsica can be about as bad as anywhere in western Europe. This one has just been patched up numerous times.

View of Girolata from Capo Senino

And the wife in front of the said view.

Capo Senino.

Those little stones on the edge of the road are to stop you from falling off.
