Communist mosaic in Tirana. Glory to war!

Mystery picture. What is this? Try to guess! (the answer is at the bottom of the page)

Around two-thirds of cars in Tirana are new near Mercedes. How can these guys afford them? Simple really, they are stolen from the west, and brought into the country, never to leave again.

OK, this was on a beach not far from the port city of Durres. I could not believe how filthy the beach could actually be, but that didn't deter the locals from sunbaking there.

Downtown Durres. Gotta love those igloos that pop up all over the country!

The mystery picture is of a young man gloriously about to throw a grendade into a tank. This was in Tirana, and I walked passed it a few times before realising what it was.
